The Bible says that Faith is the assurance of things hoped for, a conviction of things not yet seen…If this be the case of our faith, then we can join the prophet Habakkuk in chapter 3 verses 17 & 18 in saying, ‘Though the fig-tree does not bud and there are no grapes on the vines, though the olive crop fails and the fields produce no food, though there are no sheep in the pen and no cattle in the stalls, yet I will rejoice in the Lord, I will be joyful in God my Savior.’ When we have the above kind of faith, then we need not wait for our circumstances to change so that we can rejoice. We rejoice because we have conviction of what we hope for.
